I've had a lifelong passion (some might say obsession) with hair. As my family will attest, I started young. I went from cutting my sister's hair aged three to spending weekends sweeping floors and washing hair a decade later. In my mid-teens, I took an apprenticeship at a local salon.
In those early days, I wanted to learn everything there was to know about all aspects of cutting, colouring and styling. It's an ethos I apply today: I take a holistic view, using all techniques. Everyone's hair is individual to them and should reflect their personal style; I help them achieve just that.
In 2015 with fire in my belly and stars in my eyes, I launched my first salon, Bel Cheveux, in Sydney. I quickly realised the hard work involved and, fortunately, assembled a talented and dedicated team who share my vision.
We've always been passionate about the environment and eco-conscious hairdressing. Then, during the Great Lockdown, the world shifted. Clients demanded more: luxurious hair without impact on animals or our planet.
And so, BOHO (Byron Organic Hair Origin) was born. In 2022 we created a space where clients can feel pampered, cared for and inspired, knowing all products are 100% certified organic and cruelty-free, with no sulphates or parabens.
